The Swedish financial holding company Marginalen AB, based on EU decisions aimed at reducing the share of non-performing loans (NPL) in Europe, decided to establish new companies in all 3 Baltic countries - SIA “GS Core”, UAB “GS Core ”, OŪ“ GS Core ”. The purpose of the business activities of the newly established companies is to purchase the purchase of bad assets that have entered the secondary market and to organize their recovery in the long run. The business objectives of the companies concerned are in line with the European Union's development strategy, as set out, inter alia, in the European Commission's final report on tackling non-performing loans COM (2020) 822
